Haha i am glad i didn't overload in the end. Jap studies alone is killing me, and if i have to focus on another mod i will probably go crazy.

Other than my remaining breath, i think i will never take another arts mod again. Essay writing just isn't my forte. Whatever they say about final year project in which you have to do a scientific essay with proper citation, i will be more than happy to leave it to then to worry.

The proposal is due tomorrow during tutorial, right now it is still half done. Over the whole weekend, none of my group mates has edited the proposal on facebook yet, which leads me to another potential problem, are my group mates trustworthy? Okay actually one of them did, he completed my sentence for me. That's it.

My english isn't that proficient, but i still typed out nearly the whole proposal. This is when i hope they will come in and help edit, maybe to correct my english and add in ideas. Cross faculty mods like this, you will bound to have group mates from other faculties, which makes thing hard since we don't have common time table. But to the extent that none of them have done anything yet when the date line is tomorrow, this is alarming. Even at the very least they should type in the references they have found. But no one cares.
But having said that, I will not judge anyone, yet , because there's still time till tomorrow morning. Maybe i am wrong. And god please let me be wrong.
I will continue with my proposal after this, because i want my grade. If still no action by them by tonight, i have no choice but to send in this proposal with half fucked english. Maybe i am feeling pretty angst right now, which explains all the negativities. I have a physio CA this thursday, and i haven't really study. To make things worse, i have to prepare for this tues physcial pharm lab and wed lsm lab. The lecturer bombed us with 2 physical pharm tutorials last week ,which he will go through this thursday as well. With all these things to do, do you expect me not to feel angsty, especially when you see none of your groupmates have yet to edit the proposal.

This reminds of my experiences i had during army. When you see no one doing the shit, it is up to you to do it because you have no choice. Yes at first you can say i am altruistic about it, because i always believed we should help each other, but as time goes by i grew tired of it. I hate this. Besides, this is not army, you are doing it for yourself as well. I had really nice group mates for previous pharm pract project. Okay maybe it's because we are all from pharm and things are easier to settle and communicate. But things are always easier when they are all altruistic about it , and willing to spend time on the project.

On a brighter side, i passed my driving test! After 7 months of lessons, i am really glad that i will be able to keep my weekend free from lessons.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A few things to look ahead to:

Jan - CNY! actually i have grown past the stage whereby ang bao used to be like one of the main event of CNY. Nonetheless the festive season is always great time for gathering and to meet some relatives you probably see once a year.

Also the start of Year 1 Sem 2. My resolution? Maintain my cap, and hope i can get the scholarship. I know that 4 years is a long time, and i know i might not like the hospital or polyclinic environment, but i believe every pharmacists should go through the patient-orientated pharmacy practice before they venture out. My interest, lies in the RnD for medicine development, so even though Singhealth is a healthcare provider, I plan to use it as a stepping stone before i further my career elsewhere.

Feb: my driving test. Hope can pass ah, driving lesson is a huge financial burden man. Because of this burden, I can't start my investment plan. I always wanted to start investing , remember the word is investing, not speculating. I believe successful investment in stocks and bonds, or even property, is not about age, a common misconception. Whether you are old, or young like me, what it takes are skills and knowledge. I plan to start young to learn more. I have read up on the required knowledge i.e method to calculate the intrinsic value of companies. I know i am not financially stable yet, that's why i only plan to start small, and take my time to learn the skills involved. Unless you are an entrepreneur or probably waiting for the your day in TOTO or 4D, the only way to grow your income is through investment. Fixed salary employment will only sustain your lifestyle, but you rarely outgrow it. Investment is not for a faint hearted, but i believe if you do enough research , and not be reckless, it should be beneficial.

June: sian ICT . If 6 months is the minimum time they needed to inform you, they did it at the very end. It was on 16th decem that i gt the SMS-ed, exactly 6mths before the end of my ICT, which is 16th June 2012.

4 weeks into semester break, seems like my fear was unnecessary . I subscribed to the SMS notification , so at exactly 7.30 am, i recieved my result . I must say it is much much better than i expected, considering the fact that i left the exam hall not knowing what the hell i was writing for 3 of the papers, and even expecting the possibility of failing one of the mods.
The night before I can't even sleep, even resorting to using my DOTA performance as a prediction to my results. I was only able to feel at ease when my Ursa went god-like haha, a tinny bit of superstition there, but it has shown how much confidence I have. Not that i would like to admit that I ain't coping well, but you can really see that army really screws the brain.

Besides that , i have booked my driving test , which is on 6th feb. I have problems with changing lane, somehow my instructor's double standard is making me confused, Nonetheless, i will just try my best.

Anyway i was trying my luck for Singhealth Local Science Scholarship just the other day, and managed to secure an interview:D My usual policy of not picking up calls from numbers i do not know needs to change. If i hadn't picked up the second time they called, i think i wouldn't have gotten the interview.Haha if I get the scholarship, i will definitely request to work at SGH, too bad Singhealth manages the polyclinic clusters in the East, haha imagine working at BB or JE polyclinic, shiok ah the travelling time.

Anyway i joined the Games subcommitee for next year pharm orientation camp. Somehow my feelings are mixed , because all my friends have joined either logistics or welfare, ahhh heck, can take this chance to enlarge my social circle:)

Playing too much MW3 has really affected my skills in other game. Haha it was only yesterday I tried pressing 'SHIFT'to sprint in CS while evading, only to realise it was walking, and got raped lol.

Questioning yourself how could it have hurt so much will only make it worse. Besides , if games can't do enough to distract, what else could?

I have to clarify something, Uni is not fun AT ALL. All that time during army, I thought it will be nice to go back to school and have fun. No. All those ideal scenarios didn't happen.

My mom say last time I study for A lvl quite laxing one lei, but now like study like siao. Whether or not last time it was laxing, i can't remember, i only know now it is really fked up.

Too many shit to study. Seriously the 1 week reading week is not enough, 1 month is more like it. If you didn't start early, how you gonna cramp all 5 mods into 1 week? PPDA alone takes up more than 4 days for me, and that's just to understand and not even memorise.

And they told us year 1 sem 1 is the slackest. LOL. Maybe their definition of slackest is "go crazy", so when year 3 comes , most likely you will be depressed.

Lol i once told myself if i ever enroll in science and not pharmacy, i would major in chem. So glad it didn't happened..not when all the notes are giving me that " you started learning chemistry yesterday?" look.

Let's see whether i am still alive 3 weeks later.

I can only blame myself, my inability to express and articulate really ruined it. Yes i was glad that i didn't fail the test, but only up to the moment before i saw tears in her eyes. I hate myself for the lack of creativity and lack of ability to console her. I shouldn't have told her that the result was out or told her a rough guage of my score. I blame myself for the insensitivity. Yes i am a goner,at least for now that is the case.

Then again, I can't help but to notice the mad world out there, highest was 44/45..

I was listening to radio, plently of people sms-ed in to say their exams are either over or about to end. Maybe i haven't outgrow the secondary and jc mentality, whereby there's quite a long break after the exams before the next one.

Right now i don't have this privillage. 2 weeks ago, i had 2 mid terms 1 prac test, last week i had another mid term, this week i having a prac test. 2 weeks later, i have another mid term, followed by a CA2 the following week. 3 weeks later after the CA2 is my finals. Where is my break?

I think army really killed my brain. I totally screwed my PPDA mid terms, i can't blame the time given, since we are all given the same time to finish the god forsaken paper. I pray for at least a pass , and work hard for the finals.

Arbitury and absolute numbers meant nothing if they grade according to bell curve. It is double the stress, when you know you can ace it in absolute terms, but others can ACE STAR it, you know you are in deep shit, serious deep shit. I can only pray for some people to be cushion, no matter how cruel and unethical this mindset is, because this is reality. As they say , it only takes 1 genius to screw the curve, what's more there are plenty in my batch.

On a lighter note, i realised physiology is divided into two modules, hence renal system is our last lecture for this module. MONDAY HOLIDAY, NO MORE MONDAY BLUEs! Too bad anatomy doesn't divide its content over 2 modules, and our lectures only ends 2 week before the finals. We have like 4 more topics..zz.

Time really flies.

Already into week 7 of my uni life, 8 weeks if you include the orientation week, and i am preparing for my first exam since the As( which is like nearly 3 years ago). Met some fantastic people from my OG, my lab partners, my project group, and generally from what I observed so far, pharm people are really nice. I am enjoying my life in pharm, except 1 thing, I am surrounded by muggers lol, something that i don't particularly like, since our exams are governed by the HOLY MOLY 'bell curve'. Everytime I go to the library to chill, i see people from pharm mugging, and it is as early as week 2 of sem1 -.-.

I can't really remember how things work in the past, do we have exams before holiday or holidays before exams. As it stands now, having holiday before exam is to allow you to prepare for exams, but you can't really enjoy it . I could have enjoyed the recess week more if not for the fact that the anatomy module has so much to memorise. Lucky they didn't kill us by having the physiology CA till late next month.

I remember in JC, i can play computer games the whole day and not feel guilty, right now i just can't do it without sense of guilt. Think the whole bell curve thing is making me paranoid. I want to end sem1 with a good CAP, maybe apply MOH scholarship or something. Something different from jc, I have been taking part in non-academic activities more often, which translate to weekend burnt, but I find it fulfiling and very enjoyable:D

My female friends pointed out something to me that day - guys who went army and is more mature and more gentlement-ly.
Guess that's another benefit of going through National Service, some self-consolation to forget that torturous 2 years. Okay la, actually not that bad, it was okay till I entered unit life.

I wish all my friends who returned to school life after 2 years in NS HAPPY school-ing haha, have fun but study hard. Find a girlfriend if you don't have one, don't gay too much and don't do crazy stuff.

PS: I hate my timetable, no off day and everyday starts at 8am:(

Finally done with the matriculation. Today my suay day sia, first i went there , they cannot find my student pass, it totally reminds me of the wasted trip to maju camp. After some time wasting procedure, somehow or rather, they produce my student pass.

Then i went to settle my laptop, bought a Toshiba ultraportable model. The person keyed wrong amount into the system, end up have to refund me some money. Then she never tell me that need fill what refund form, end up keep calling me, ask me fill the form. Lucky i still inside NUS compound.

Then..when i am about to leave, i realised i lost my Ez-link card, damn, wasted my 8 bucks, but luckily i have my another flash-pay card with me, go top up at ATM can use le.

Okay la, suay is suay , but at least all got solved. I decided to buy an ultra-portable model because i feel that having better specs and dedicated graphics aren't important. I can game at home, and i hope with the integrated graphic card, i can cut down gaming time, and use the laptop solely for work purposes. Ultra-portability is not only lower in specs, it is also more expensive lol.

Hmmms i always wanted to draft up a ZOMBIE CONTIGENCY PLAN. Not that I have been playing too many fps zombie games, or watching too many zombie flicks, it has always been my interest to do so.

I categorise ZOMBIE into 3 types.

The slow and stupid.(CLASS C)
The fast and agile. (CLASS A)
The intelligence, with or without agility.(CLASS B)

Regardless of which categories they belong to , there's only 1 way to kill the zombie, a headshot or head injury. Zombie act by instinct, even with intelligence, they are still control by the brain. A headshot will stop all synapses and electrical impulses required to move the limbs. Since in Singapore, the only place you can find firearms in highly guarded area, abielt army camps and police station, your best bet will be your chopper, base ball bat, batminton racket and my chin up bar etc.

Now i will talk about the methods in which zombie infection comes about. It might be viral, bacterial, fungal, or chemical in nature. Pray that it is not air- transmitted, or any measures other than gas mask will be kinda useless. Contact with the infected should be minimised, you can be infected if you are bitten, scratched, or just plain contact with fluid from the infected on wounds, or sensitive areas like the eyes.

As always , regardless the cause of outbreak, as long it is a ZOMBIE outbreak, I suggest keep yourself updated with the info from govt and military, that is if there's still a functioning govt and military. Follow their evac route , though if you watch zombie movie, such measures always fail, that's why the protagonist is always with only a small group of survivors or just himself.

Singapore is so damn small, an outbreak can be spread throughout the whole city in just a day. If it is solely happening in Singapore, i suggest make a run for it to neighbouring countries. Second choice will be military base since all the firearms are there. If not , barricading yourself in HDB flat is the safest. I would not go into the various necessities required, since they are the same as what you will stocked up in a war.

Barricading yourself in the safest in the case of CLASS A outbreak. You can't outrun fast and agile zombies, like the ones you see in 28 DAYS LATER. Barricading windows and doors leading to common corridor with highly durable and strong material is desirable. In my case, i will use the hard wood from my sofa.

BUT if in the case of class C outbreak, i will go all out and hunt them. I know it sound stupid and comical, but that's what i will do.
Rule no.1 = GO out in pairs at least, but not more than 4, as more will means slower reaction and speed.
Rule no.2 = Never let yourself get mobbed.
Rule no.3 = Hit and run
Rule no.4 = Aim for head

...i went to maju camp, then they told me there was no record of my ippt booking. What a wasted trip. Don't know is my fault or their fault. Anyway the chief PTI told me the procedures to manually key in additional takers is very tedious , that's why cannot add me. CB, i go all the way there le ma, can't be i want to scam you right. Finally booked my ippt date. 1 plus week to train lol, hope it's sufficient.

I applied around 4 online tuition agencies but none has called zz.
I think male tutors are at disadvantage, if you take a closer look at the requirements, many state that they want female tutors.

So in order for me to get an assignment, i need to filter out those with unsuitable locations, unsuitable subjects, unsuitable SEX, which left me with only 2 or 3 assignments to APPLY. Yes keyword is apply, because apply doesn't mean i can get it . 80% want females, 20% for males. Out of 20% , 15%location cannot, left 5%, out of 5% , 4% subjects not my forte, 1% left.

I am kinda nervous about school. Long time never study le, wa brain rusty like the railway track.

ah now life damm sian, nothing to do, think i gonna find some part time job during my uni life, since i probably cannot get any tuition assignment.

MAN UTD PLS GET AN ATTACKING MIDFIELDER. I wasted 2 hours, watching you play against barca, totally ruined my slp that day. If you are unable to meet schneider wage demand, unable to proach modric, pls at least bid for nasri. lastly, i finally decided to change my driving instructor. I really cannot tahan him le, now i switch to another fren's driving instructor. Another registration fee of 50bucks is fine, as long his teaching is okay.

I can't concentrate on driving today and it has also ruined my plans to take ippt after i quitted my job.

U know u need to heed ur brain's warning when u feel that ur head is like concussed just by turning ur head behind. But i didn't , and that's a terrible mistake. It's like putting ur brain in a box filled with tiny nails, every slight movement hurts like fuck.

okay , i don't swear much in real life, only in army camps and when i am online. But i wanna get better before my class gathering, and swearing here helps me channel out my anger harmlessly.

the tears of the red moon.

Initially my intention was to quit after 1 month at the polyclinic, but somehow i managed to endure it till now. I am certain to fulfil the contract, but quite reluctantly. Facing stubborn, rude, demanding and inconsiderate patients everyday is just a pain in the ass. Just when your morning started pretty smoothly, one bloody bugger had to ruin it, and it has been happening daily. Valuable experience yes, and a great addition to your resume but that's it. Not that i am enjoying the job.

The only thing keeping me there is the personal freedom enabled by the working hours. 4.15pm end work, you can go swimming, running , learn diving and go out. If you compare those times at Sompo and at polyclinic, certainly i have more freedom and i prioritise freedom more than anything else, even money.

My last day, june 19th, obviously same as jh , coincides with yang intended quitting date at his company. It also only differs a few days from aloy's departure from Sompo. Maybe we can do something fun or find those IT fairs jobs for the weekend, earn some quick cash lol.

Maybe i will seek tuition lobang from people, no contribution to cpf, near perfect control of your own time, and most importantly, no more bloody bugger ruining your day.

My advice to you, put it more explicitly. When you don't explain, misunderstanding arises. Some how i wish i am an innovator right now, using quantum brainwaves to understand how you truly feel right now.

wow my last post is on dec 12th 2010.

I will start with the things that happened recently.

I quitted, not because i am not happy with the people there or my job, just wanna try something else.

I left on the last day of february. Today's the second friday since I left, lol, life's pretty good when you know you can sleep till cow comes home. Then again, i never been able to sleep past the 9 o'clock mark,who else to blame but my biological clock for that 'defect'.

In my first week of freedom, the sense of liberty is still so overwhelming that it added a touch of happiness to everything i am doing. Yes, because i haven't been able to wake up late on weekdays, since i started work only a few days after i ORD-ed.
What i have accomplished --->
Settled some administrative issues concerning my uni fees bank acc and my driving liscene acc.
I managed to have my passport size photo taken for future job application, though i dun understand what's their motive. Not like working as administrative assistant requires a certain 'executive look'. LOL i look more like a researcher in lab.
Started on my online jap course, though their proven method of success(not providing english translation while going through basic jap vocab) is not working.
I started flipping through classified ads and online job portals for my next job.Preferbly some job related to pharmacy.
I read up on some uni info regarding tuition fee and no of modules you are required to complete before u can graduate with a honours degree.
Completed Red alert 3 and Red Alert 3: Uprising.
Completed Crysis.
Completed Hellgate London Trilogy Books.
Completed x national geo and x Times magazine.

Perhaps the most important thing i have done is......to quit Granado Espada. It 's like a memory demanding application in my "TIME frame", drawing at least 4 hours on weekdays and 10 hours on weekend, of course that is inclusive of the time i spent afking. Yes my master bern, romina and my expert STW, good bye. I quitted in a snap of finger, i was so fed up that i uninstalled the programme, deleted all backup files in my hard disk and external hard drives all in 5minutes. Of course i miss the time we spent together as a faction raiding castilla, byron and arsene, but all happy time have to come to an end, especially time consuming good time.

come to think of it, i have ord-ed slightly over a month. Life pretty monotonous, weekday work, weekend go out.

Advances in technology pretty much stopped "natural selection".

If you follow Darwin's natural selection theory, it will be usually decided by factors concerning survivals like food and water, and genetic preposition, which affect immunity against diseases and traits.
People just has to 'juggle' between a few factors.

In modern days, however, "artificial selection " is the main process. Though conventional factors still play a part, it is not really the main decider. For example, genetic defects such as tyriod deficiency, can be treated with tyriod or hormone treatments.

What i meant by artificial selection is between 'rich' and 'poor', or betweeen "able to afford " and 'not able to afford'.

If you take a look at vacines and drugs( exclusive, or even generic ones), only the "people who can afford" gets it. If you look at basic education, only people who afford or lucky enough to be on government grant can get it .

Without all these, they are like adversed recessive traits in a enclosed community, eventually every generations will have it, and unable to climb out of it.

Be content with what you have. Maximise the amount that you can achieved using what you have.

ORD LOH!

lol my aunt asked about my muted response when she mentioned to my mom that my 2 years NSF life is over. Perhaps because of the the short period of leave and off before my ORD date, it
seems like i have gotten used to the 'civilian life' .

Not that i have a particular schedule or timetable to follow to, but i hope to accomplish a few goals.

If you include half of july next year, i would have about 8 months worth of freetime, which is why I have spent some time , thinking thoroughly about the route and things i should be doing.

What i lack in my 20 years life is job experience, and perhaps some essential skills. So as was my first priority, i found a job at raffles place .

Lol , but i must emphasize that the job searching process itself has a few learning points.
First - No past working exp = no resume.
Second - job searching takes up a large chunk of my daily time.
Third - 99.9% of jobs posted on classified ads are by job agencies.
Fourth - sending resume online is a fast way to find job, especially adminstrative and clerical type.

With that, i found a job at raffles place, some admin assistant thing.
BORING! totally not my type . Comfortable and simple as it seems, in air con environment all that, i just don't like it.
Travelling to work everyday is a hassle , the morning crowd at mrt station is just too agressive and in some cases, inconsiderate. Unfortunately, this is something i must get used to .

I really don't mind standing all day in factory, when you can earn more through OT and cut cost through free transports. The initial investment -formal working attire , though a neccessary and good one, has burnt a big hole in my pocket lol.
The job agency told the company i can work till june next year while waiting for UNI, but in actual fact, i plan to leave after 2 months.
My main objectives of these few months would be gaining experiences, therefore staying >3 months in a single job is definitely not going to happen.
These are a few of my targeted industries.
Pharmaseutical firms - intenship , if GSK got i sure go hahha, but can't be la haha.
Service industries - any service related jobs.
Manufacturing industries - factories / general production eg-packers machine operator lol.
Public sector - relief teaching

Recently i also thought about the special term which starts in may next year. It works in 2 ways, either you start early end early, or you start early to adapt to UNI life while taking 2 modules.
Registration starts in march so i have plently of time to think abt it .

And of course, our overseas trip lol. From now till the others ORD, working is my priority rather than wasting time rotting at home.

As days passed and my ORD is nearer, i reflected on my objectives and personal values.

Maybe the fear of being unable to commit is an obvious mistake i will point out to myself repeatedly. DUMBASS.

For the past 3 years, i always thought that it isn't the right time.

Regrets. Stupidity. It's over.

On a lighter note, i gonna do my wisdom teeth extraction this wednesday. 3 at one go! haha, MC MC MC. This move is spurred by the cost of extraction of wisdom teeth , as well as the lack of faith in my endurance to face those bastards in camp. Though not all are fucked up - eg my section and all the CFCs, most are. I think the days of losing my cool and fuck them upside-down is coming. BEWARE

The recent Time 's article "Attack of the Math Brats" talked about the flushing of poker pros of the past by the modern ones.

Pros in the past relied on their instincts and ability to read opponents mind to win. However, this battle strategy has been proven ineffective against the current generation of poker players.

Basically the article is talking about new strategies such as math probability and statistical data to aid in the game. A game of poker has only 52 cards- excluding the joker of course - and this has made it easy to use probability to calculate chances and risk . Statistical data has provided insights into the possible moves that players make when they have a specific card combi in hand. As the data is obtained from the million of players playing online,data of possible moves when facing different permutation and combination of cards in hand and on the table is obtainable. Furthermore, the availabilty of the game online, and the low risk it contained - no risk of losing real money- has made new players bolder and more experienced.

For example, logic says that you should fold when you have a bad hand in texas holdem, and even pros follow it to play safe.

Irrational rationale. It is this that has even caught pros of the past offguard.

One that goes by logic and practicality will understand that human are often irrational. However as normal human beings, one will also percieve that fact that many rational moves that are made can be cruel and unethical.

I would say that emotions are often the 'mastermind' behind irrational rationale. Inbuilt in us is the mechanism to not follow nature strictly, and many heros are born because of irrational rationale.

If only time is a commodity, i will definitely spend on it. Something that is so valuable , something that you can only measure but not hold on to. Then again, if time ever become something tradeable, everyone will fight for it.

It is depressing in army, especially if you are doing shit stuff everyday. Ever since i went to unit, my men kept reminding me that there's no need to be too "garang"

I kept my stand and continued my style of doing things. The result, more shit for me. Some people will just take this opportunity to shun their work and indirectly pass it to u.

Can't say i haven't learn about life in army. I have undergone 3 stages of 'enlightenment' since i enlisted.

The 1 st was right after i graduated from ATI.
The 2nd was right after i returned from India.
The 3rd is now.

Yes i am enlightened now. Yes i have learnt more about people and life. But the supposed enlightenment actually increased my resentment towards life and people around me. Isn't it supposed to help me understand better instead of causing more anger?

The more you do, the more you have to do. Some people just doesn't appreciate what others have done for them .Even though i will kp while doing, i still will do. Frankly, sometimes i don't really intend to help. But when i see that nobody is around or that people are reluctant to do it, i have to do it.

I am not a wayang guy. I don't do for the others to see. I know people around me recognise my effort. But that's not what i want. I want those guys who are wasting our air , food, and tax payer money to contribute. Because of their unwillingness to cooperate and their inability to be considerate, we are suffering. I want to quit, i want to leave this shit place.

I am passive. I don't really interact with people i don't know well. I don't bother to initiate conversation unless i know that person well. I don't even bother to explain certain stuff properly, hoping that they will eventually understand. But when it comes to doing things, i am not. Some people is so passive that they literally wait for things to happen. They don't take the initiative even though they know what to do. After a while it became quite clear that it is just not worth it . I can feel that anger in me, but i can't express it. Even if you can ignore once, twice, you can't ignore it for another 6 more months.

Even if you are a sponge, there 's still a limit to how much you can absorb. Even if you are a tanker, there's still a threshold. I am at the tip of it .

Today is the last day of 2009. For the past week, The Strait Times has been going through the major events in 2009, as well as the past decade.

Economically, it hasn't been a good year. For this decade , we have seen unsustainable growth in other parts of the world, as well devestating economic crisis. Singapore has always emerged stronger after each crisis. The dot.com burst, 9/11, SARS in 2003. Then came the boom from 2005 to 2007, before the bubble popped and recession came , subsequently with the newly mutated flu strain, the H1N1.

Politically, i see there's not much difference in Singapore, perharps certain areas/issues are more liberal, and people have more say.

For me , the major events this year would be enlistment, A level results and coping with the change in lifestyle.

When i first recieved the enlistment letter, i was disapointed with the date. 6th jan, which was around 1 month later. I wished to have some working experience before enlistment, so i was hoping for april batch. And much to my horror, this isn't the end. There are Armor intakes for jan batch..and unfortunately, i ended up there.

I am coping fine physically, even though the frequent lack of sleep during training do stretch my body to its limit.

Then came the A level result released date. It became the hot topic in camp.I still remember due to a particular someone, we can only book out on result day, in which i was nearly late.

My result wasn't enough to get into my dream course, though getting into pharmacy was somewhat my wish as well.

Then came SISPEC and AISL. NS gather people from all parts of Singapore. There are people who are very different compared to people around me. It is like fully integrating into the society in Army, you can see all kinds of unpleasant qualities and characteristics. In tough times, many will care more about their welfare than anything.

My female friends began their new school life in August, something all the guys will be envious about. Studying is definitely better than soldiering.

We will be organising a BBQ session to make up what was supposed to happen last year.

11 more months till ORD.

I feel that it is time to improve on my english, abit late huh haha. NS is the perfect period of time to do this.

I must keep learning, starting with my weakest link, English. My general knowledge is adequete , through the daily newspaper and weekly time and fortune magazine, therefore to complement it, i suppose a better command of language wil help.

We had long period of admin time for the past few weeks. It will be a waste of time and life to not do some learning. Reading and keep myself up to date is a norm for me. Moving on to the language itself is a new beginning.
All the long reports i am expected to write, the flawless statements i am suppose to produce, i just can't do it well.

warnings have been given, though it was better than what i had imagined. It was hard to adapt, especially the first few days. But...since the time spent outside in the wild is 6x more than back there, it doesn really affect me .

This trip is disappointing if you relate to the truth that i have witnessed. Some people aren't what they are when they experienced hardship. People do change, drastically if need be to protect themselves. This makes them individualistic, to the extent that they wouldn't think twice to backstab. I am lucky to be one of those observing at the side, if not ke si yi xiang, also dunno how u died.

I spent the weekend mostly idling around lol. Haven't had the chance to do this since the start of the course.
10 more weeks to POP, around 4 more to ROC.

It seems guard duty isn't as bad, lots of freedom compared to what i imagined.

As such , 7 months of NS life has passed, and we are considered trained soldiers. Over the course of 7 months, there is a similarity that i observed in some people around me. AREA CLEANING is a self-proclaimed taboo to many. Some chose not to help, some chose to help only when we have done most of it. Worse still, some blamed their fellow bunk mates when the section got scolded for not up to standard cleaning, when he himself, had spent the whole time lying on his bed doing his stuff.

Even if you choose not to help the others, at least help yourself. Cleaning up the area, as the model ans goes, is to maintain hygiene, and also prevent getting yourself into unneccessary trouble.

MY DISSIDIA DATA IS GONE! 6 months of effort..zz. I left stage 5 of last chapter...my cloud..squall and sephiroth..
Guess i will wait till the english version is out before i restart the game.

Even with all the reasonings, i still can't accept that our section is the biggest loser in the reorganisation of the coy.

Our section is the only one that is split entirely , and with 60% of our members joining other platoons.
It is totally unacceptable to judge one's possibility of ooc-ing in the 6th week out of a 20weeks course. Yes, some are weak in certain area, but there is still time for training. Grouping those that are potential occ cadidate will only dampen their mood to further improve. Some have already expressed unhappiness in this re-org, and are considering occ-ing. So what if i am in a 2MT section now? Does that mean my chance of ooc is lower than those in 40/50?

I myself have considered this route , but i have no reason to get myself ooc. Furthermore, my goal is to become a spec, for the better(slacker) future a spec will have. I believed that having spent 6 weeks together as a section, we have found the best way to communicate and work together. Spliting us due to individual capablities only shows how realistic those in command are. They could have told us earlier and let us work it out, but no , they told us only 2 days before the official date of move to our new section.

And they couldn't choose a better time to break the news. The OC chose to tell us right before our ippt test. Do it once, do it good, that's what i keep telling myself during the test, afterall, what can we do other than emo? We have talked with the person dealing with the detailing, obviously it didn't work out.

Luckily, 2 of my section mates are joining me in the new section, which includes bh haha.

Now about my ippt result, having jumped 243 in my first try but fall backwards, i jumped only 230 in the second. However, that shows my newfound technique is useful. Now the only station that prevents me from getting gold will be 2.4. My best timing ever achieved, 10.05, is still 21 seconds away from the gold timing.

These 3 weeks are the toughest of the 20. Next week is a special week, we will be booking out on sunday, and book in the same day, isn't it great? But that also marks the end of the unbearable burning of weekends, unless i have guard duty on weekends, and the 4 weeks overseas training.

Driving an AFV is actually idiot proof. There are only 2 pedals, accelerate or brake, and compared to conventional cars, there only 4 gears you need to know.
I will definitely learn driving after my ORD.

At least something that will perk me up during the long long long long 5 months course, haha THE DRIVING COURSE!

It was fun driving around the obstacles course, up down up down heh heh. I not sure when i will get my license.

To all tankie, good luck to your hearing after the course, lol leopard tank engine is like thunder, but i regretted not voicing out when the instructor came to my section and asked who wanna be tankie. It could have been a possible route to better life.

Another Tsubasa Chronicles OVA has been released. They skipped the whole arc of Fay confronting King Ashura. Getting abit confusing though, since they now overlap 2 animes.

I hope they can come out with a 3rd season or something, no point producing OVAs when you skipped so much of the story. At least it is going to end soon , i hope.

haha lucky yang and bh going same camp as me, and several of my section and platoon mates too.

8 weeks of BSLC has passed. The so-called 28 km road march is in fact 30km, but in actual , we marched for 33-34 km. The extra 3-4km won't there if we didn't get lost, and thus remove the need to backtrack..

Injured my legs lo, haha but got BLK LEAVE heh heh.

5more months of training left before i get my 3 stripes.

i accepted the offer of pharmacy. My family seems to have something against pharmacy. I know the route that Singapore takes in the future will affect the prospect all of pharmacy students, especially if they shift their focus off pharmaceutical sector. But what can i do, i knows nuts about O and A level physics, which limits the courses i can take. I am not interested in FASS, that only leaves me science related stuff. Medicine is out of qns, with my gp grade and CCA records. But i am relieved to say i have 2 more years to apply if i ever change my mind.

Missed today's outing with my section mates due to my leg injury, but nvm, got plenty of chances next week.

finally, something to be happy about amid all the bad luck i had throughout the whole of last week. I am offered pharmacy by nus. I regreted putting pharm as second choice, which puts you in a slight disadvantage compared to those who put it as their first.

My sis is going USA next tuesday for her 3-months internship. The swine flu came at a bad time, not only does it affect her chance of clearing my parents' custom, it also affect the already batttered world economy.

2 weeks left til the end of BSLC, i am looking forward to it , at least that means i am halfway through.

Finally, most of the fellowship are full time national serviceman now. Those that are still studying, all the best and study hard.
Just as how bh ,jh and me survived the BMT, i am sure you guys can do it. To be blur at the start of BMT is normal, since going into army , we are given a -5 intel helmet, -10 intel mentality, -10 intel shag-ness. As time goes by, you guys will get used to it , and regain some intelligence lol.

5 weeks of SISPEC life has passed , and another 3 weeks to go to the end of BSLC.
There are Pros and Cons of the SISPEC life. I hope to get into armor or artillery, but having interviewed for recee, chances are, i will be posted to recee.

This is the best gundam series ever.

Though some might not like the mechanism of the gundams in Gundam 00, with most finding fault in the GN drive as engine as the main reason.

Nevermind about the gundam mechanism , the main attraction is the story line.

Aeolia Shuenburg 's plan has been revealed in Season 2 Episode 24.
A scientist who lived over 200 years ago has been planning to get rid of conflict in the world. Thus he has developed GN drive. 200 years later, the plan is pushed to action, with Celetial Being being the main cause of the changes in the world. The story line goes on , telling fans how the Celestial Being themselves push Aeolia 's plan into action, and the obstacles they faced. The story protaganist, Setsuna. F.Sei appear in season 1 as a small kid piloting the gundam Exia. With a Krugis origin, he was in some organisation that fight in the name of god(similar to Al Qaeda and other Islamic Militant Groups). However, Veda(super computer that has a size of an asteriod)was soon seized, and thus shown that there are traitors in Aeolia's plan.
Season 1 ending will give us only the main idea of Aoelia Shuenburg's plan , which is to remove conflict, through intervening in conflicts. But there is a twist in the story.

Season 2 started showing a new federation government is formed, uniting all the 3 superpowers, namely the Union, Advanced European Union, and Human Reform League. It has an autonomous army keeping checks on rebels called the A-laws. Apparently, the leaders of A-laws were innovators, genetically created humans by Aoelia that has their conscious linked directly to Veda. The story goes on to display some new gundams for the Celestial Being, and some new mobile suits from A-laws. I will skipped the intermediate story and went straight to episode 24, which is a skip of 22 episodes. SPOILERS ONWARDS FROM HERE. Tiera died, and due to the twin drive burst from Gundam 00, it was revealed that Setsuna has evolved into a pure innovator, caused by Ribbon's miscalculations. Tiera conscious, being linked to Veda directly now, has discovered the true plan behind Aoelia's plan. His plan was not to remove conflict through intervening in conflicts, which is quite understandable, since removing violence through the use of violence will only bring more pain, suffering and violence. Celestial Being 's intervention in conflict during Season1 was to unite the world . But to truely remove conflicts, people have to understand each other. To achieve that , GN drive is produced. As those who has watched will know, Setusuna 's Twin Drive will produce a GN vacuum area that will link the conscious of everyone together with GN particles acting as medium, pretty much like the quantum brainwave the innovators used to communicate. Aoelia 's plan was also to prevent a war breaking out in the outer space, which unfortuntely has failed.

Personal favourite would be squall, cloud, sephiroth and tidus. Been trying to find the background music that is played when fighting sephiroth, some sort of cult music.."...........SEPHIROTH!.." The worst CNY ever..

Had to book in on the second day of CNY, worse still, it is at 4.30pm..

Booked in , had to prepare for 6 days field camp. Road March 8k to the camp site. Having camo cream on your face and unable to bath for 6 days isn't a pleasant experience, especially if you have heat rash.

came back from field camp, they told us we have 3 days to rest before sit test(i.e....another 3 days 2 night field camp..zz). Yes, 3 days..they didn't told us we have a IPPT diagnotics test on the second day.

The day when we left for sit test, we had str training in the morning, and a 12k road march to the camp site.

Anyway, field camp isn't like what they said, for me it is manageable. SIT test is fun actually. Maybe because my OC is welfare orientated. haha, 1 more month to POP, woot ah!

I tried a new game called wolfteam today, it is from the same developer that created gunbound, and therefore it is also a mmorpg game, but in FPS mode.

Well i certainly hope,even if they aren't going to buy back all of it now, at least do what some finance institutions plan to do, let the bond mature so people can get back their money.

The Asian Financial Crisis occured when we were 7, doesn't affect us much . Furthermore, as the name goes, it is pretty much confined to Asia.
As some DRQs mentioned, many goods will ultimately end up in US, regardless of the intermediate countries involved. So now since US is where the core problem arises, of course there will be a chain effect, and Singapore, as you guys know, is the first Asian country to be in a recession. No choice, since we are export orientated.

Lucky IRs are going to open soon, will help improve the employment market slightly, i hope.

Haha but this crisis benefit us in some ways, it gave us some points to write in essay, because this fiscal year is one that experienced financial meltdown, slow growth coupled with soaring inflation due to oil prices. I have been watching zombie films for the past 2 weeks.

All films contain zombies, of course, and the core problem either starts with some chemicals or viruses. It is infectious, and can spread from human to human via contact with fluid exchange, something like AIDS. The consequence will be that they will all become the living dead. Some movies potrayed them as The Dead who are still conscious, though equally dangerous to the living. Some movies did the usual ones, mindless freaks who are just blood thirsty. Some made a little twist, giving the dead greater agility, more strength, and have mutated parts like sharp vampire teeth.

Some are easily contained, like Return of the Dead series, while other are widespread, which include Resident Evil Series, 28 days and weeks later and I am Legend.

You can actually classify all zombie films under the " abandon your comrades when they are infected" category. The basic instinct of man, to survive regardless of your loved ones.

In a world like this, religions will not bring faith. There isn't even time for you to pray. Cascading effect, 1 can infect a million.

Moral of story? Do not disturb the equilibrium between the dead and the alive. The boundary isn't there for us to breach, but for us to understand that the dead, is dead, and will never come back.

I haven't apply for it at the MOE website, since i am not sure whether the course i signed up at NUH, is it approved yet.

I don't think i will be teaching at CCS, most likely back in JJ. But i heard that there are ex CSS-ian who plan to go back to CSS as a relief teacher.

The enlistment letter..haiz..some of us will be enlisted on Dec 3rd..that is like 2 weeks after last paper of A lvl.

I hope mine will be around feb, or april.

It is a disappointing match.

With Berbatov, i thought their attacking power had increased. Alex ferguson even changed the line up formation to 4-3-2-1 lo. It isn't their style , rooney was like a right winger for the whole of match. Like what the news paper said, he has a high possession rate, but he isn't in the right location to strike.

And again, the newspaper is correct, berbatov was like localised around the central area, not like the past where postions between ronaldo, tevez and rooney are interchangable.

First half ,Man U was dominating, but after wes brown 's OG, liverpool started fighting back le lo.

Is this gonna be their permanent formation line up even after ronaldo is back? They need more midfielders. I hope they are right in signing berbatov, because for the whole match, i don't see him getting the ball much. Perhaps he needs more to time to adapt to the Man U playing style. For me, i would have chosen the formation line up to be 4-3-3, with rooney and tevez placed nearer to penalty area.

The defence wasn't as good as before too, even though ferdinand, brown, evra and vidic was in the starting line up.

to ensure SMOOTH gaming, your graphic card should be at least nVidia 8400 series and above, and ATI it is around HD 3000 series and above. Ram should be at least 2 gb. Processor i am not sure. All integrated graphic cards cannot i think. You can always check your system specs by going to run, and type dxdiag. This applies to window XP only, vista i am not very sure about it. Guess i have to wait for a new com before i can play it.

There is a reason why people often link stupidity to their weight.

Like what L said in the manga, if you think alot, then u shouldn't be worry about your weight. It is true , but not totally true, since weight is determined by other factors.

My grandma just had an operation. It involves the insertion of some device that aid the normal functioning of the heart. Basically , it is just that use of electrical energy to aid the normal heart function. She needs to undergo another operation to remove the blockage of a blood vessel.

I have not forgotten how she used to take care of me when i was young. My grandma house was my second home since i first attended school and until the start of primary school. I was sent there after school everyday, and my father will fetch me after work. And of course, her attractive smile. Those who know Mrs Ng Tan will know the kind of smile i am talking about. Similar to it :)

Just hope she is alright, and her, being optimistic in nature should be doing fine. Heard from my mom that when she came out of the operating theatre, she was smiling already. Haha, that is how we should face problems. Nevertheless, i am aware of the problems some of the fellowship members faced in their school right now. I have experienced the same problems back in secondary school. Just hope all is well for all of them .

damm it lo, he said that a section of my spine had some prob, so he asked me lie down, and crack my spine..zz..not pain though, but the sound...then he crack my jaws.

i had similar nose problem as that of bh's . It is like the narrowing of the nostrils, so i am having permanent nose block at times. He use some clip to keep my nostrils open...and use NEEDLES...and poke (XXXXX) ..i forget what that thing is call le, but it is a mass of nerve fibres and flesh which is partially responsible for ur sense of smell. Like tears dropping down lo...but this time, it is blood..lol even the paper he gave me to wipe the blood is totally stained. Well, i have been using steroids for quite sometime le, not those performance enhancement shit, but those that will curb swelling for that mass of nerve fibres and flesh. Been using it for quite sometime, not sure of the damage that is already, since steriods are cacinogenic if used for prolonged period. So according to him , must poke poke that thing, let the blood flow out and solve the swelling. It is useful alright, just not very pleasant, especially if one is scared of blood. So for those who are not, go try it if u have the same prob as me, it helps alot.

ah , those who have donated blood shouldn't and wouldn't be afraid of needles, since the needles used for accupuncture is like 10 times thinner than the one used for blood donation.

haha wow , i didn't realise there's a great amount of hidden talent in JJ, especially when it comes to playing the piano

I am not sure whethere piano is gaining popularity in school, but it seems that alot of people know how to play it, and play it well.

Learnt some basics from sam at my first mini lesson today at Lt5.

maybe i will buy a keyboard after A lvl. Playing the piano and let yourself drift into the beautiful melody is a perfect way to spend your time and destress.

went seoul garden today with my family. That reminds me of my first trip to seoul garden with the fellowship, and the watermelon...chicken soup. I think aloy's blog still has the pics.

My econs CT is finally over. DRQ is ok, or should i say relatively easy as compared to the essays.
2hrs 40 minutes. I finished the DRQ in around 55min. By right, i should have plenty of time to spend for the essays, indeed...i wasted the time by jumping from questions to questions because i dunno how to do. I can't recall what the heck is economic well-being, so in the end i skipped question 2, even though i finished part 2a).

It is true, i always believe that when things get too complicated, it is time to fake ignorance. Situation might go in either the positive or negative direction. But no matter what is the result, while faking ignorance, you are actually shrugging off some of the burden or pressure. Some things doesn't need explanation. Personally, the reason why i rather people getting the mis-conceptions about me is that explaining to them doesn't always work, and that i am lazy to do the explanation.

Typing is faster and when you type, you need to think through. Talking however, is hard to proces what you gonna say right before you talk. Term 3 week 3, oh yeah, what a terrible week.

The econs test on monday, they asked about the current causes of inflation and to what extent is inflation harmful to singapore. Well now i am trying to remember what i wrote in the essay, which obviously shows that i will fail.

The GP test on tuesday, our gp tutor told us it is easy lol, 2006 a lvl GP paper..now i know the standard of A lvl gp paper...most likely gonna fail again.

And came today's chemistry test. Gonna fail thrice in the row!

Ah my 15 days combat manual is coming to the end, now i have no more reason to continue GE-ing. War weariness, lol, more like game weariness, anyway, made a big mistake today and bought a barrack slot for 9.5 mil, i though it will open up a whole barrack so i can create 9 more characters..no..1 more character only.

Ah many unexpected incidents.

Anyway, the math test...whooosh...gone like the wind. Prepare for remedial lessons.

Had the Chinese Scholars with us for the 3rd day. All is well, since they are friendly. Just that we cannot communicate well, with our typical English/Singlish mixed with Chinese conversations.

Being in the same race as them, it is embarassing, that we have to think a long time before we can translate a certain sentence or phrase to Chinese. It is nearly 8 months since i wrote my last essay in Chinese. Simple words like civics lesson, took us nearly 5 minutes to translate. It is worse when we do direct translation, as what my friend said, " Jack Neo 's Style."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAN ALOY! Haha you can finally buy alcohols.

Talking about alcohols, on the 3rd day of CNY, my relatives came to my house. My father opened a 1.5 litre of original flavour vodka. I didn't know you can mix vodka with coke. I always thought the usual ingredient will be lemon slices, lemon juice, sprite or ice cream soda, and a few servings of vodka. My definition of 1 serving will be 1 bottle cap . haha it tastes great, even with the high alcoholic content, i am impressed that my face showed no sign of alcoholic content in my blood. Heh.

And then V day came, well, i don't know what to say actually. Bad experience with it maybe, but this year was fun at sch. And i broke my chin up record on that day too! 3 chin ups in a row. wootz, slowly working my way up.

There is bio SPA next week, good luck to all those taking it . Lucky it is on enzymes, and like what rafi said, i believed that experiement similar to CD 2 and 4 will come out, which is why i am mugging, yes, mugging in front of a com , while playing game . This year was good, the money was good, the activities were great.

Went out with my cousins on friday to Shaw tower. Seriously, i have never heard of Shaw tower , until they brought me there. It is somewhere near bugis junction, just that you need to walk abit. And the movie theatre, like concert hall...so damm big, and quite empty.

I doubt so. That is because right now, we are going through another stage in life, which gave us many more opportunities to observe, to look in disgust, and to learn the different characteristics and the abilities to change drastically within a year. We have seen much more now than what we have in secondary school , which chills our heart, knowing that the actual world isn't so simple, the people you seen in sec sch isn't what they like as they are not mature yet. It is like the beast in them , isn't released until you reached a certain age.

Some changed for the worse, others, like me remain the same. I must say environment plays a big part in shaping one's trait. My fellow Commonwealthians in my class, haven't changed much, maybe because our class, my current class, has no class politics, has no hypocrites. But others, in other classes, and other schools, have changed so much that i felt ashamed to even know them.

Not to pin point anyone, but from what i heard so far, some people from a particular JC, have changed so much that we don't recognise them. Not appearance, but their personality. They shocked us with their heartless attitudes, and their way of dealing with people. There's no friendship anymore, but more like whether are you useful to me. In this case, friends is directly translated to usefulness.

What the use of achieving so much if you don't have the heart? You will lose everything again.

Nightmare thursday.

3 tests back to back, first it was bio.

Bio was definitely not ok. Had a few careless mistakes here and there. And my last minute answer change of phenotypic ratio...i changed the phenotypic ratio from 12:3:1 to 13:3. Reason is simple, because the homozygous recessive genotype for both characteristics will result in white chicken too, same as the situation when L allele is present . Since they are comparing colour , and not species, it should be 13 white to 3 coloured. But when i collected the papers, i saw most of my classmates' ans is 12:3:1. And i wasn't expecting 2 rejections for null hypothesis in both questions.

And with this mentality that bio isn't going to be ok for me, it affected my gp test. The passage is easy to understand. But....AH!

And ....15 minutes later, the start of the math test. I spent around 15 minutes for the last 3 questions since they are relatively easy(probability, binomial and poisson), and 30 minutes on a single question...probability plus PnC. I hate those questions that asked for the probabilty of all no XXXX together. Meaning you have to do PnC, and then divide over the total number of ways, to find the damm probability. The reason why second question is ok is because i can draw venn diagram for it.

Triple death. LOL, well chem prac was relaxing , just that it stinks! The smell of methy benzoate combined with benzoic acid...god...especially when we are doing water bath for alkaline hydrolysis, it smelled really bad. At least it smells better than octanol. I cannot tahan octanol, so damm smelly la, walao eh, plus hor, it is like KMnO4 lo, but in this case, it is the smell that cannot be washed away. I still remembered that day, the whole class reek of octanol, even when the prac is over.

PC, " vent my anger time". It was ok, we were asked to run around the track for 25 minutes, and do 3 sets of inclined pull up, can leave le. Gay lo, was running my 9th round when our tutor asked us to gather, because some gays were walking. I don't know who la, but gay lo, ended up we have to run one round and clock 1.30 minutes.

Just got this from zheng wen, nice right? combined effort of s02. All those filter papers we were folding during the 10 minutes waiting for metyl benzoate to react with HCL. An ugly side of Singaporean was again sighted at the feeder bus service at JE Mrt.

I was going to IMM to search for a new bag. Damm it, if it wasn't raining, i would have walked there with my sis. So we waited , and the bus came. True , it will never happen in MM Lee lifetime, however, I am sure it will happen one day, maybe around 20 years later, when our generation is the working class. Stress? Am I stress? Do I look stress?

Well, some people don't express how they feel with facial expression, I am one of them. I am a little like Fai, i smile to cover how I feel. But to be exact, smile when you don't feel like smiling, isn't very healthy.

Haven't had a good night sleep since the start of school. No time to sleep? Not really, plenty of time, at least 7 hours. I don't know what the problem, but i just can't fall asleep. I don't know how to describe it, there is like something recurring over and over again in my mind.

I read a book about those Russian spies, they said they are trained to sleep with great vigilance. Meaning, even when they sleep, they can detect what is happening around them. I don't know how true this is, but i guess I am like them.

Another alternative way to explain why can't I sleep, is stress. Is it test-related ? Nah i doubt so.

Well I had a test today, having 1 next week, 3 on wk 5, 1 on wk6 , 2 on wk9. Actually, i also don't know what is so stressing.

Life isn't that simple eh?

Same routine everyday. Wake up, bath, go school, study, eat, study, go home, bath , eat while watching american dad, study, study, sleep. When is that going to change? I have lost interest in gaming, partially due to the lack of alternatives of game.

I told myself i must end things for sure, if possible, in glory. I know that repeating the same mistakes made in secondary 4 is not an option. By making mistakes in secondary 4, I am given 2 years of regrets in JC. By making mistakes now, i will be given a whole lifetime of regrets.

I am really looking forward to CNY , because that's the time when we all have time to meet up.

I have decided to quit my H3 bio course. I know it is stupid to sign up and quit, but i have no choice. I want to concentrate on my other subjects. It will be better if i can aced my core subjects, then h3 biology.

I swear, if i were given a second chance during holiday to take the course, i would have continued, because biology has been my interest, and it will always be. I am sacrificing my interest this time, because i know the possible consequences of not giving it up.

My current dream jobs will be either a scientist , a doctor or as a captain for SIA. Therefore, this is not the time for such time-consuming interest. I shall concentrate on my core subjects, mainly on economics, before it is my weakest subject.

This week sucks. I started the week by forgetting to get bio notes for the class. Lucky i photocopied enough to last through the whole lecture. What's more, i know i flunked my math test. Loads of careless mistakes..AND, cultural studies is one hell loads of crap. We were given two choices, either some tourism shit, or malay classes. I chose malay classes, since it will be more useful, but it will last till april 30th.

Tuesday..was one of the worst day of the week. Had 1.5 hours of econs tutorial . Man , it is the worst 1.5 hours of the week. I can't seems to keep myself awake, it was terrible. Next, back to back, another 1.5 hours of bio. Well at least, Ms loh let us off earlier after finishing the last question of mutation, cause she know we too tired to concentrate.

Wed..all lessons of my interest except econs..-.-..lucky the current topic is national income accounting , which is relatively more interesting compared to other topics.

Thursday. 1.5 hours of math lecture...i rather they extend the tutorial class to 1.5 hours..than lecture..damm it..how to concentrate...so damm tired la, besides, everyone were very restless during the remaining 15 min...well chem prac was great, we harvested our own benzoate salt. I wonder how i fare, since my percentage yield was only 68.1%.

Friday, it was supposely the best day of the week , only to be ruin by econs.

Went to RJC today, had a hard time finding the damm LT. Their facilities..lol, RJC really RJC lol. They even have air freshener for the LTs. Reached damm early, around 3, waited for Eileen, then the lecture start le . Damm his accent, it was hard to get the points down in papers. I missed out on quite alot, and hell..it is tough. I hate lectures where i have to listen and copy. And alot of new terms. It is interesting i must say, but not the type of interest i can afford to have, very time consuming. I understand most of the stuff, including the part on transcripting factors, cis-elements, tata box, enhancers, core promoter, ,foot printing techniques, and that immunoprecipitation,but not the remaining graphs and diagrams. As mentioned above, i have decided to quit .

After 17 years , no doubt, december is still best time of the year.

Back in 2006, the december holiday is significant to all of us, because it marks the end of part of our journey in the education system of Singapore. However, it is a holiday that is filled with fear and also happiness. Happy that, yes, we have graduated from a secondary school, and it is time for a new journey. However, we feared the future, because we do not know what results will we get, feared that the path you want is no longer available to you, feared that your friends are not together in the same school as you, and feared that the distance between you and your love, will be further apart.

My only regret in 2006 is that I did not work hard enough, ended up, i did not get to the JC of my choice, even though i met my target L1R5 of 10 points.

But that december, i still remember clearly , because we have no more burdens , we had a great time together. Outings, gathering, gaying, joking, playing BB together, all these, together with the clan, are definitely something that I will remember for life.

The december holiday in 2007, similar to the holiday in 2006, we had a great time. Though some of us had problems attending to the gathering/outing/gaying session/joking session/exercising/, because of tight schedule, and also because each of us has taken our own path in life. We were scattered around 9 polys/JCs. Some of us had gotten themselves a girl , some have grown up, and we all see things differently now. I must say, we have gotten more mature together, as a clan. Though sometimes we see things on a different perspectives, but our reasons for doing so are well-backed by facts, and we can argue for ourselves, what we want, what we plan to do .

2007, a year filled with regrets again? I don't know about that, for right now, my mind is blank, with thoughts only about school that is opening again tommorow.

Hmms, the activities i enjoyed the most in 2007 are:
badminton sessions with yang.
gaying/sharing session online with the usual 4.
outings with the clan.
the China trip.
my jc class gathering/bbq session.

Nevertheless, 2008 , a great year ahead. We have so many stuff to look forward to . First, the F1 race. That is no doubt the greatest event held in Singapore in 2008. Second, the results for the youth olympics. Third, stronger economic growth, though that depends on a lot of factors. Fourth, I can finally put an end to all national examinations. Fifth, we will all be 18 soon. Sixth, new year, new chance. Seventh, i hope that aloy's new catch phrase, " I am single and I am free on saturday night..." will not be applicable to me anymore haha, though i think , i will still be too lazy to act.

My new year resolution, is one that all typical A lvl students will have, work hard, get a good grade.

After all these years as a clan , some things have changed. Physically , yes, stronger haha. Mentally, yes, stronger too. Our bond, definitely stronger.

A good year ahead. To all , turn all those regrets you have into strength in 2008. Work hard, play hard, and also , pray hard. Pray that this year will be a smooth ride. Pray that nothing bad will happen.

Today damm tiring. Woke up 6 am, went for badminton session. Well, at least today we won most of the matches we played. I must say my "mo qi " with yang is getting better, though there still some stupid mistakes, like got girls walk in , we both got distracted, but of course, he got was distracted the most lol.

Then we went for breakfast, walked from Gombak interchange to my house, where he took a bus home.

Reached home, saw my mom and my sis preparing to paint the living room, piling stacks of newspapers here and there. I took a bath, went to slp, and woke up at around 12 to help, till 7 pm , which is just 1 hour ago. During this period of 7 hours, we talked about alot of stuff. My mom started the damm topic by asking when my sis is going bring his boyfriend back. Then she say don't have, and that prompted my mom to ask another series of questions. Ended up, my sis started telling story of some irritating guy, who is so persistant that my sis say he is obessessed. I must say his tactics cannot make it la, where got chase girl chase until like that de, aiyo. Anyway, the moment my sis says he smoke and drinks, my impression of him changed to a beng liao lo, confirm cannot make it de la. My sis don't like people who smoke, who drinks, and those who like to ask here ask there, like controlling her. And my sis is damm stupid la, still reply his SMS for what, just ignore ma, it's not like you cannot cock up some excuses. Just say, i never check my phone, my phone got prob, my phone bills explode liao, my free SMS use finished liao.
But she said all these happened quite sometime ago. LOL, she quickly get one , i don't mind.

THAT is because, if her presence in the house is less, i can have all the stuff to myself, like TV. LOL. Everytime valentine's day, what ever shit, got people send her something, then she should just choose one from those who gave her the items ma, aiyo, don't everytime give me false hope.

Wow, my mom actually says it's alright to have a gf for me, just don't get too obsessed. She asked me for reason why i don't want to get myself a gf, i gave her 3 , what NS shit, what study shit, what gaming is more important shit, but there is a fourth. The fourth reason, some of friends know, and might seems to be quite stupid to them. But getting a girl I like, is more important then i get a girl that like me but not the other way . But i am persistent, yet i am not like that kind of guy that my sis said, who is irritating. And then my mom says, if you want get a girl, don't get one with too many ex. I agree, my limit, will be around 3 ex. If she has too many, gone case, unless i really like her.

Ok enough of this love thing. Tommorow is another tiring day, I planned to finish painting my room , with a sky blue paint, by noon, so that i can go pool later in the afternoon, and study at night. GTG, dinner is waiting.

Ah yes aloy, i have much to talk about . But first, though you already left singapore, i still want to wish you , have a safe journey.

My trip to China can be classified into 2 categories. But i don't know how to name these 2 categories. Never mind about that. I still have to submit my report to KS.

My Lord , my trip to China was fruitful, i have clear view of what China has become. I was unable to meet the current leaders of China to express the Emperor's concern about the ties between China and the Fellowship Empire. But I visited various famous cultural heritage sites of China, and even the World 8th miracle, Terra cotta warriors. Indeed, i have witnessed thousands of years of culture and heritage. I am sure if the Fellowship Empire were to increase bilateral trades and continue to warm our relations, we will stand to gain. I have learnt much, and it is difficult to submit a full detailed report to you . I shall report to you personally when we meet.

First, to my dismay, i learnt that my phone was unable to roam in China. The problem with my phone's inability to contact the outside world, will mean i will be cut off from my homeland if i were alone without my friends. This is especially important, because i have ordered my elvish intelligence agency to leave me alone.

This trip was really an EYE OPENER. The culture, the magnificent job of past emperors etc, was indeed an eye opener. However, i also get to see the dangers posed by people there and also from people from our own travelling group. I shall not elaborate. As always, some things are best kept in your heart.

Language, the basic communication medium.

The younger generations now are mostly bilingual. True, our command of main communication lanaguages, like Chinese and English, may be better than that of our parents.

Not in my family. Though my mom has education till secondary 4, her chinese is still far better than mine. Though her command of English may not be that good, but she know a total of 3 languages, Chinese, English, Malay, and a dialect, Hokkein. My Dad, similar , he know 2 dialects, and 3 languages. My dad's sis, know 2 languages, and 2 dialect.

Diversity, they know far more than us. I am still weak in languages. Particularly English, maybe i was too slack during primary school, which resulted in weak grasp of even the most fundamental skills of English Language.

Integration as one ASEAN. I doubt it will be possible if you look at current situation. The EU was formed under favourable political climate. But currently, with the instability in Myanmmar, and various other reasons, it is already a relieve that the charter will be signed successfully. I don't know, maybe a recession in US will make the conditions more favourable, lol, though i don't wish for that to happen, since obviously, S'pore 's export to US makes up a large percentage of the total export.

I am an amateur economist, or rather one, who hasn't even mastered the basics of economics. But i understand what is happening now in global economies.

Oh another thing, i just realised there used to be an organisation called SEATO, LOL, South East Asia Treaty Organisation.

It is damm slow lo...nobody upload the newest episodes of Gundam 00 and D grayman yet..

I am waiting for the OVA for Tsubasa Chronicles called Tokyo Revelations.

1st episode is The Magician's Message, 2nd is The Boy's Right Eye, and 3rd will The Dream The Princess Saw. I think sakura will regain all her memories lo, if not it will be a bad ending...saoyran...sad case.

I am expecting myself to flunk the bio olympaid tommorow at NTU. I saw no link between the questions asked , and the notes i possessed.

Right now i am watching Claymore. Actually the plot abit ike D grayman, but is more interesting, with more depth as well. Similarly to Fate/Stay Night, i predict that there will be no happy ending.

And yeah, i am back to maple. LOL, like what bh said, the society in maple is bad. Scoldings, vulgarities, KS-ing, Idiotic bastards, inconsiderate freaks. Is it because of the graphics, that has caused such a change in the virtual society? They are like totally immature. On the other hand, GE's society is much better, it is obvious that adults and mature teens make up a large percentage of GE 's population. Even if people argue, they argue with intelligence, not just plain scoldings. I would have continue GE-ing if not of the P2P system. Moreover, GE has one of the best AFK training system so far.

But i will continue mapling, because i want to reach 70. Once i reached that lvl, depending on the time i have, and the amount of patience left, i might just continue.

Norton Internet Security 2007 is giving me hell lots of problems. I guess a single core 2.4ghz com like mine really isn't made for this program. The updating and scanning used up quite abit of my CPU speed, around 5%, which makes gaming laggish during these times.

ANd today, some subscription problems cropped up...gay..i still have around 4 months lo, yet they say my subscription has expired.

If lacus clyne can produce SF and IJ using the fission system, why ZAFT can't produce mobile suits with fission system instead of the fusion system used in Destiny and Legend?

But 1 thing i don't understand is that why Shin and Ray have to stop and refuel and not Kira and Athrun? Both Fission and Fusion systems are not self-substaining, the only conclusion i can get is that the Fission system is relatively more efficient.

Fission has various disadvantages, so do fusion. The conditions for both systems are different. Just that one uses light hydrogen isotopes, and the other uses heavy isotope with Mr at least 200 and above.

For the chain reaction that is able to be achieved using the fission system, it is defintely an advantage for Kira and Athrun.

Using a slowed neutron and collide it with a 235 Uranium isotope, and undergo fission, and produce extra 2.4 neutrons, which will then be used to collide with other 235 Uranium isotope, causing a chain reaction. If 1 mole of 235 Uranium can produce 2x 10^13 J, installing 3 kg worth of Uranium into SF and IJ can last them the entire war between ZAFT and ORB, provided the percentage of enriched Uranium installed is around 3 to 4 percent, as what is the actual percentage used in Nuclear plants.
